separate emails...

Okay, I see you've beat to death the fact that Windows Mail does not support
separate identities. So my question is, what is the best way to separate my
work email from my personal email? If I use filters to have my personal
email go into different folders, how does Windows mail know which account I
want to use and which is the correct reply email address, etc.???

When initiating a new message, WM uses the default account.
When replying, WM uses the same account that downloaded the original
message.
Both defaults can be manually overridden by clicking on the 'From' field.

Windows Live Mail (WLM) is similar, except that each account has its
own set of folders, no rules needed to separate incoming mail.
Replying works the same, but a new email will use the account associated
with the currently selected account folder rather than the default account.
