Change User

I personally still use Outlook Express in Windows XP. But I maintain email
contact with members of a social group using different identities. Works
great...all the email, addressees, etc exist only within each identity.

That job is being taken over by my friend who has Vista with Mail as his
mail program. I tried for hours to set him up with my data and establish
separate Identifies but found Mail doesn't use identities any more, it has
separate Users.
I went to his ISP and established a new email address and password like I
did for my own use with OE.

I was able to establish the new User in Mail but the only way I've found to
change is to go to accounts and set up the other user as the default. Once
I change that way to his new email account it works partly but all the
emails from the 2 different user accounts are displayed when either user is
selected. Help.

I was able to set up an html signature file but it only works when I choose
to use it automatically on all emails. And then it does it on both user
accounts. When I unchecked that option and chose to manually insert that
same file by clicking on Insert...signature...and chose that html file it
won't show the picture portions of the signature file like it does when
automatically inserted.

Help.

There is no Identities feature in WinMail so you have to use separate users
and accord each user a single account. Alternatively, within a user
profile, you can have multiple accounts and use Message Rules to segregate
the mail into different folders when it arrives. Or you can get my WMIDs
program (www.oehelp.com/WMIDs/) which replaces the Identities feature of OE
in WinMail.

The path to the image must be fully specified and not a relative path.
i.e.: <img src="File:\\c:\myimages\myimage.jpg"> and not <img
src="myimage.jpg">
