Separate Archives for separate hotmail accounts

I have two hotmail accounts. One personal and the other for a community
organisation I manage.
I want to clean up the online community account of old emails but want to
keep them in case I need to access later. If I delete them from there they
also disappear from outlook. I thought the best thing to do was to archive
them. My question is how do I set up an archive that just takes the emails
out of the community/hotmail in Outlook.

You'll have to use the manual Archive feature then from the File menu or
configure that (community) Live Hotmail account in an additional mail
profile. The downside of the last is that you'll always have to restart
Outlook in order to check this additional account.

When using the manual archive option, make sure you select a new pst-file
which will be exclusive for that (community) Live Hotmail account.

You can of course also opt for doing the cleanup completely manual. In that
case, create a new pst-file via;
File-> New-> Outlook Data File...
After this, simply drag and drop the items from the community account to the
newly created pst-file.

OK Thanks. I 'll try and do that and see how I go. I won't be looking after
the emails soon so they won't be coming into my outlook. I'm mainly doing
this so that they are available once deleted off the Hotmail server. They'll
still be in the archive file won't they?
