Sent Messages Not Appearing In Sent Folder

I have no idea when this happened, but all of a sudden I cannot find my sent
message. I needed to look at a previously sent message and couldn't find it.
I looked in the Sent Folder under Favorites and under All Mail Folders. The
folders are both there, but there are no messages in them. There should be a
lot, because I haven't deleted them or moved them to another folder. Could
you help me restore this function? Thanks!

Check this:

Tools-Options
Click Email Options

Save Copies of Messages in Sent Items Folder should be ticked.

Thank you, Sanjay... I already checked that out to see if it was unchecked.
It is checked. Can you think of anything else I could check out? There are
a lot of messages I send out that I want to keep. It is very distubing that
they are missing right now. How familiar are you with the Archiving screen
that comes up periodically? I never archive; however, once the other day I
said yes to it. Could it have done something to my sent messages? Thank you
for ANY help you can give.

Sanjay... I just responded to you; however, I forgot to check the box
indicating that I would be notified when you reply. Just in case, I told you
in my message that I did check to see if the box was unchecked concerning
sent messages. It was checked. I cannot understand why all of a sudden it
stopped saving my sent messages. There are many times I really want the sent
messages saved. I also asked if you are familiar with archiving.
Periodically there is a prompt that comes up asking if I wish to archive. I
usually say no, but a couple of days back I answered yes. Could that have
caused my problem. Thanks for any help you can give me. ...Champ5

Archiving would not have caused the problem.

Do you have more than one PST open. Maybe it is saving the e-mail to a Sent
Items in another file that you have open in Outlook.

The other thing to try would be to untick the property (Save to Sent Items),
restart your computer and then tick it again.

That may get things working again.
