Sent items from Proxy account

Hi,
We have a sales account where 3-4 admin staff people proxy to, from their
outlook accounts , to forward and assign the sales related e-mails to
respective sales reps.
When they forward e-mails from sales (while proxy to sales) we want those
items to be in sales-->Sent Items folder.
Not in the admin staff e-mail account sent items folder.

Is there a way to acomplish this in Outloook 2000 or 2003?

Hi MC,

I don't think Outlook will do this natively, but you can use 3rd party
tools like our own Sent Items Organizer
(http://www.SperrySoftware.com/Outlook/Sent-Items-Organizer.asp). There's

Yes, we are using exchange 2003, and under my personal mailbox in left hand
site, the other mailbox names appear
I downloaded and installed "sent item organizer", this software still
doesn't really do what I want. It keeps asking me which folder or account to
use, where I already told to move
if e-mail being forwarded from account A, then move it to account A--"sent
item" folder...

Outlook doesn't really support storing the items in a secondary folder.

Lutec Mask, linked on http://www.slipstick.com/addins/special_function.asp,
will move the messages to the proper sent folder. Or you can use VBA. See

Before the nitpickers pick nits... I mean that Outlook doesn't support
moving them in an automated way. You can select the folder on the options
dialog before sending or use rules, if there are conditions you can filter
on.

Outlook doesn't really support storing the items in a secondary folder.

I thought outlook would have been smart enough to know I am forwarding from
or replying to e-mail that is in different mailbox.
Or at least have flag to turn on to do it automatically. I know I can creat
rules to accomblis these without getting third part add ons.

Unless you have send as or send on behalf of permission, the message will be
From you and most people want messages from themselves stored in their own
mailbox's sent folder.

Business today are getting complex, and if I am forwarding e-mail from sales
mailbox to appropriate sales staff,
other sales people can not see that if sent record ends up in my mailbox .
They can't trace back any record as to what action was taken, if I am away
or sick...

I see such problems happen quite often with big companies, whose sales staff
are away, and I would be waiting for a quote, or need help with an order. No
other sales person can look it up what was the history of the order....
Anyway, I knew the answer, but there may have been faster or better way to
accomplish this.
(Good old Groupwise was very good at such collaboration)

Forgot to mention: these people have already send as permission.
Reply to an e-mail from proxy account, or forwarding will still end up in
your sent items
Not in proxied account sent items
