Sent folder

I know this sound sooooooooo easy, but I have been working on it FOREVER!!!!!! How do I place a copy of each outgoing email into my sent folder?? It is NOT doing it automatically!!
 
are you using an IMAP account?

is tools, options, email options set to save copies of your mail?
