sent folder deleted emails

my sent folder deleted all my emails that I did not want deleted yet I can't
recover them as when I go to the tools folder I don't have a "recover email"
tab. I'm not on an exchanger server so what happened to them and how do I get
them back?

Outlook doesn't actually do things you haven't told it to do so let's try to
figure out just where your emails are. If you didn't empty your Sent Items
folder and then empty your deleted items, perhaps you've filtered your view
inadvertently?

View > Current View - make sure Messages is what's ticked.

Recover Deleted Items is a function of Microsoft's Exchange (email) server,
when Outlook connects to it. You normally only find this in a business or
school environment.

I did not delete my sent messages as I need them and messages is ticked on my
view folder. I know I didn't archive either.

Do you have your folder view enabled so you can see a list of all your
folders, from Outlook Today to Tasks?
