I have this one minute clip of my grandfather singing a
song, I have tried to email it to relatives and though it
up loads it never actually goes through, what could be
the problem>

You ISP might now support sending large files like videos.

If that's true, try splitting the file into smaller pieces using WinRAR.
Then send the pieces, one per email message.
