sending photos using outlook 2007

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to send photos in a zip file (size is 7.63mb) using outlook
2007 and when I attch the file it times out before outlook is able to send it.
I have actually tried to send it before going to bed and six hours later
outlook is still trying to send it.
I am using my hotmail account through outlook.
I have also tried using just my hotmail account, but when I attach then
photos, the .zip files does not appear.
is there a trick to sending photos that I don't know?....lol

What is the exact time-out error? If you use a virus scanner that integrates
with Outlook, disable this integration and try again.
