Sending Link By Email with Subject lines

Frenchie

I just upgraded from Windows 98SE to XP with a new computer. Both used IE
and OE v6. But I hate the way this XP version is handling links and subject
when I "File/Send/Link By E-mail" from IE. It is not grabbing the Title of
the web page and putting it in the subject line or putting the link in the
body of the message. Instead it is inserting a cryptic message such as
"Emailing: 0,,2_0133,00" in the subject line and inserting a url
attachment.. This is put in the body: "Your files are attached and ready
to send with this message." It stinks compared to IE and OE v6 on my
Windows 98SE computer. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Frenchie,

Here you go:

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
Line 60. Email Page - IE (right click) w/ Clickable Link

Adds a context-menu extension to IE using which you can send the Link to email.

Thank you very much, Ramesh [MVP]. Microsoft goofed by not making that an
option out of the box.
