message content when using 'send link by email'

I'm running XP-Pro SP2 and use OE as my mail client.

I'm not sure if this is an OE generated issue or an XP issue.
I'd appreciate any insight that can be provided.

Whenever I'm in Internet Explorer and go to:
File>Send>Link by E-mail ...

OE opens a compose panel with the following information filled in:

(Example)
From: (My email address)
Subject: Emailing: home.bellsouth.net
Attachment: (The url link)
Message body:

The message is ready to be sent with the following file or link attachments:
Shortcut to: http://home.bellsouth.net/

Note: To protect against computer viruses, e-mail programs may prevent sending or
receiving certain types of file attachments. Check your e-mail security settings to
determine how attachments are handled.

--------------

- I do not wish to have this whole scripted message in the body of my e-mail. I have
been manually deleting everything except the url link and then adding my own
commentary. I've been using XP-SP2 for a little over 2 months now and in prior
Windows versions I have never experienced this behavior. I'm puzzled.

I have performed a system search on "The message is ready to be sent" using Windows
Explorer and searching in the files. I've also searched the registry. (The registry
search did find it in the search history only.)

Now the question. Where is the message content generated and how can I modify it on
my system?

I know this is not a huge issue - but, it is a PITA for me. (Plus it is very
puzzling.)

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
PJ

It's located in a DLL, probably in UTF-8 encoding. You'll have to search
for it.

Frank,
I appreciate your response. I did a fairly extensive search for it on
my system without any luck.

I also changed: IE>Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>
"Always send url's as UTF-8"
(I unchecked it and rebooted) This had no apparent effect.

I wish I knew the name of the DLL file. (But then I probably couldn't
edit it any way.. lol..)

I'm still at a loss.
Thanks again,
PJ
