Sending HTML email that has links in it from OE

I want to be able to send HTML email which contains
hyperlinks, like what I get in my OE box. I cant figure
the links on text and graphic parts. (I know how to make
web pages and post to a web server, it's the HTML email
part that throws me).

I'm using OE, I create a web page on a web server with
absolute links, with all graphics in the same dir as the
HTML file, all having absolute links.

In OE I the create>web page, give it the absolute web link
to the HTML page on the web server. The text on that page
and the graphic look fine, but the links on the text and
the hotspots on the graphic do not work.

Any help you can give me or point me to a tutorial on the
web that addresses this?

This is possible to do as I get HTML emails from companies
that have these functions.
