Sending faxes from win fax

I live in NJ and we must dial the area code 973 w/phone #...I try to send but
the system automatically adds a "1" in front of 973...how do I eliminate the
"1" from the dial send?please advise

Sorry. This is the Microsoft Access Database newsgroup. It appears
your question is not related to that database. You are much more likely to
find someone with the answer if you post your question to a newsgroup
devoted to your subject.

There may be a setting within WinFax. In which case it will circumvent the
control panel setting. If you go to the control panel. Phone and Modem
Options, and look on the Dialing Rules tab. Make sure there is an entry for
the local area code in the Location you are working from.

You may find a better answer. This is newsgroup is devoted to Microsoft
Access databases. You are much more likely to find an answer in a group
devoted to your subject.
