Sending emails from Word & Excel

I use gmail.com for emails. Tried to send a letter in Word via email but it
would not go. Said error although I filled in re Pop server in and out from
Bell info. What am I doing wrong?

More information is needed. But, when you send a mail from Office, it uses
the Windows default mail application.

For a mail service like gMail, there are settings that *have* to be entered
other than just the server names - gmail does not use the "standard" SMTP
server settings (and this is actually a good thing).

But if you don't have gmail set up as the account in a Windows client like
Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail or Outlook or Thundergbird, etc., then you
have to be pointing the default setting to the gmail web page.

If you're using a web handler, the port settings don't matter.
