Sending email larger than 3Mb has stopped working

Hi

I am using Outlook 2007 and everything was working perfectly until a few
weeks ago. I used to be
able to send large emails - (sometimes up to 6Mb) without any problems.
Suddenly Outlook
is refusing to send emails larger than 3Mb...I get an error message that the
connection to my
mail server was interrupted. I have set the timeout to 10 minutes, but it
has not helped.
I have spoken to my ISP, and they set up a webmail account for me, to enable
me to send
my larger emails, and it works! But I really need to keep a copy of my sent
mails so would
prefer to use Outlook. Is there something I can do to get Outlook working
the way it used to?

Outlook has no limit on the size of an email you can send or receive. Any
limits would be imposed by your ISP or your recipients' ISP's.
It is possible that it's not the email with the large attachment holding
things up but possibly a read receipt that is stuck (those are often not
visible):

Hi Kathleen

Thanks for your prompt response. You are correct!!! Luckily I have two
optional SMTP servers which I can use when sending email,
I changed to the alternate one, and the large mails are going through fine
now. However, I have used the "deletereadreceipt" link
as I do have "ghost" emails going through every time as well. Hopefully
this is sorted as well.
