Maged N. Roshdy

i have a win 2000 server domain , when i try from any DC
to send message by the net commandor for example net send
A hi , where A is the reciptiones computer , but the
message fail to send telling is the message alias could
not be found , even when i manage that computer from the
AD , and try to send a console message it sys "not all
recipients received the message. , this could be due to an
invalid computer name , or because the recipient computer
is unavailable . , check each recipient computer name and
then re-send ", but this is wrong , the recipient name is
correct , so how can i recover that bug from the DC , i'll
appriciate any help on that .

This is happening because the messenger service on the machine that you are
trying to send the message from is disabled or not started.

Set the service to Automatic and start then try again.
