How do I set up my outlook so that if I am out of town I
can have it automatically respond to incoming emails that
I am out of town ?

You can use the "out of office assistant" in outlook.
Should be located on the tools menu.

I can't find out "out of office assistant", can you show a
detail path?
also, is it on outlook2000 or other version?
Thanks

"Out of Office Assistant" is only available to users
of the Exchange Server.

Try looking on Slipstick

If you're not on an Exchange Server, check with your ISP. I use RoadRunner;
they offer something similar.

In order to configure your "out of office" message, you must access your
account through webmail (per RoadRunner). Once logged on, go to options and
then look under "vacation message". There you can set the date range for
the auto reply and the verbiage you want people to see.

Most likely, if your ISP has this service, the directions will be different;
however, the concept should be similar.
