I want to use the fax facility within Windows XP Home
Edition, but when I try to send a message it tells me
that there is no dial tone and the fax is not sent. Can
you send a fax using a broadband connection? If the
Windows programme does not work with this type of
connection, is there any software out there that will do
the job?

Christine ... you won't be able to use the fax feature in XP with broadband.

You'll have to purchase and use an analog faxmodem ... but they're
relatively inexpensive. Before you buy, check the HCL (Hardware
Compatibilit List) for an XP compatible modem at:

Sure! Simply hire an Internet E-Faxing service:

Now, if you don't want to spend that much money, you'll have to do it the
old fashioned way with an analog Fax modem and a standard telephone line.
