Sending a Fax thru Outlook2000/2002 on Windows 2000/XP

Is there a way to send a fax without creating a "business
fax" contact, and just typing the fax's phone number in
the "To:" box on Outlook 2000/2002 with Windows 2000/XP?

Microsoft Shared Fax (on machines with windows2000)
winxpfax (on machines with windows xp)

Both use the shared fax printer on the server
 
Microsoft Shared Fax means what? As long as it provides the Fax Mail
transport, just add it to your Outlook profile and configure it as those
articles state.
