Sending 2 of 2

I am an experienced/advanced Outlook user. I just upgraded to Outlook 2007 as
part of Office Enterprise 2007. Many times, but not always, Outlook tells me
it is sending 2 of 2 emails when it should only be sending a single email. My
settings only send/receive when I manually tell it to do so using F9.

I can't help but be paranoid that some entity within the machine is sending
things via outlook, but can't find any evidence of that. I think/hope its
simply a bug in the new release - a mistaken counter or somesuch. Has anyone
experienced this issue?

Any items stuck in the Outbox?

Ever send anyone a read receipt?

Thanks for the ideas! Nothing stuck in the outbox, and it's been long ago
since i used a read receipt. Just for fun I used MDBVU32 and there is no read
receipt in there.

But I *do* have multiple accounts. And have since before upgrading to 2007.
I have two different POP servers I use. And depending on where I am - home,
university or public wifi, I access different SMTP servers.

Ideas?

There is a condition in Outlook 2007 that will cause it to show that it's
sending "X" number of messages, where "X" if the number of actual messages
to send, plus the number of accounts. So, if you have four accounts and two
messages, Outlook 2007 can display "Sending N of 6 messages".
