This isn't going to help you but I've been experiencing the same issue
with both Windows 2000 and Windows XP. I have a shortcut to Notepad
on my SendTo menu and about 4 weeks ago (begininng of Oct) it and all
my other included shortcuts on the menu stopped working. The default
ones like "Send to Desktop" still work though. I've been searching for
an answer ever since.

I may be mistaken, but I think "Dennis Jackson" <[email protected]> said

Start > Run > sendto
Replace the corrupted shortcuts with fresh ones.

The problem seems to be fixed now, it was strange, i was looking for
solutions and did find this one you have given, my default email was set, it
is AOL , has been for 3 years, and i did the start run and typed the
instructions in , but that didnt work either, 3 or 4 days later , i was still
trying it and then suddenly my email programme opened when i clicked on "send
to email recipient", dont know why it stopped or how it got going again , but
there you go, , thanks for the help
