"send to" mmail recipennt

In Windows you can right click on a file, select "Send to" and "mail
recipient".

This opens an Outlook window and new email message with the file as an
attachment.

BUT when I click on "Send" it just stays in my Outbox and will not send.
How do I fix this?

Is Outlook already running before you choose Send To?

It's not been necessary to have Outlook Express open for this to work.

Is there a workaround, or a way to get Outlook to send the email once it is
opened? It just sits in the Outbox.

Astonishing.

Sarcasm aside though, is there a way around this?

You can Start Outlook and click Send/Receive or have an automatic
send/receive interval defined, which will cause Outlook to perform a
send/receive at startup.

Outlook must be open in order for the outgoing mail to be processed.
