Send To hangs computer

Windows XP SP2
When right clicks on a file and chooses Send To from the menu, the computer
hangs. No error message.
Tried setting the Windows Image Acquisition Service to automatic (it was set
on manual) Did not help.
Any ideas why this is happening?

The probable cause that the path of the Send to item you selected is
incorrect and it cannot find it. Rightclick the place where you want to
send it to is correct. Look under target or location in its Properties.

and
scroll down to "Send To X" Fix and click on the SendTo repair for Windows XP.
