Create a Shortcut to OE Mailto:
Right click on the Desktop/New/Shortcut.
Paste this into the white box:
"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /mailurl:mailto:
Go to Next, name it (ex) OE Shortcut, then hit finish.
when I click on it(on the desk top) it goes directly to
the "New Message" window, however, when I try to use it
from the Pull dowm menu (Open,New,....Send To...) it
opens Outlook express normaly, not to the New Message
windows. I appologise if I have missed any of your steps,
I am confused as to the actual name and placement of the
newly formed shortcut. I tried to place the new shortcut
into the "send to" folder in "My Documents" to no avail.
Thanks in advance.
What pull-down menu? In what program?
See if this works:
Start | Run | type: sendto |OK
Delete the existing Mail Recipient shortcut that's there.
Then size the window so you can see the shortcut you created on the Desktop. Drag that shortcut in
to replace the old one you deleted.
Sorry, It's XP Pro. I call the pull down the window that
opens up when you right click on the file you want to
send.

Ok, I placed the file I created into the "Sendto folder".
When I right click on a file to send it via the new
shortcut it opens Outlook to the full open program, but
if I double click it in the Sendto file, it opens to
the "New Message" window?

The way mine works is, if I right click a file | point to Send To | then click Mail Recipient |
A message window opens with the file attached.
If I highlight a file | Go to File (Pull down Menu) | point to Send To | then click Mail
Recipient | A message window opens with the file attached.
Your SendTo folder is @ C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\SendTo?
I don't know if it makes any difference, but have you rebooted since deleting the one Mail
Recipient and moving the other Mail Recipient to the Send To folder?
