Send/recieve not working and icons disappeared

I'm using Outlook 2003. Out of the blue my send/recieve function disappeared
- the icon went from the toolbar, the option from the menu and even F9 is
useless. I added a new send/recieve icon to the toolbar but it does not
work.

Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. No matter wghat I try, the send/receive will not
work. Mycomputer has been running fine for 4 years and outlook has had no
issues. It just stopped working. HELP!!
