send/receive internet password pop up

Whenever I click on send/receive I'm prompted to input my
internet password. If there is mail to receive I get
multiple dialogue boxes asking for my internet password.
As a consequence I can't choose automatic send/receive.
Does anybody else have experience of this?
 
Its usually more to do with a temporary with your isp/mail provider than
outlook.

Are you clicking save password?

How long has it been happening for? It may be ok tomorrow.
 
It's been happening for months, since I upgraded to
broadband actually. I do click to save password, and it
always shows an encrypted password already in the
dialogue box. I wish it would be OK tomorrow. It's a real
pain. Another thing I daily have to disable speech
recognition in Outlook, it doesn't seem to remember.

Not sure about the speech recognition. You could try deleting and
recreating the email account you are having problems with.
 
I'm having the same problem which has appeared since I signed up for Broadband - I'm with Tiscali.

I log on using Outlook and keep getting asked to re-enter my password despite checking the remember box - this happens 12 - 20 times and then stops for a period and then does it again - Its driving me nuts!
Also if I log on using IE it doesn't happen so it is something to do with outlook & not my ISP

Any ideas or help gratefully received.
