send/receive in Outlook Pro Plus 2007

I'm having a hard time with send/recieve in Outlook, it will receive, but I
(for some strange reason) can't send. I go into the outbox and d/click the
message that I wrote and it says that it was sent, but stays in the out box,
unsent. Can anyone help with this issue....please? Thanks for all your help

Which mail account type are you using?
Does it work correctly in Outlook Safe Mode?
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe

If you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook, disable/uninstall
this integration and try again.
