Outlook Express, problem sending email

Hi,

I have been using Outlook Express daily for the best part of the last year.
About 2 days ago, when sending an email, I got the standard error box flash
up but with no writing or error code written in it. Now, every time I send an
email this box comes up and the email I send stays in my Outbox BUT actually
sends to the recipient. As the email stays in my Outbox every time Outlook
Express automatically a 'Sends & Receives' (which I have set up to
automatically do) the message is sent again - I have figured a short term
solution which is to delete messages from my Outbox after 'Sending' but then
the message does not go to my 'Sent Items' folder, just to 'Deleted Items' as
an unsent message. Just wondering if there is a quick way of sorting this out
or even a potential reason why this would happen all of a sudden. I have
tried restarting computer and also sending to different recipients.. I know
that my server settings are correct and I haven't changed anything for
months....

Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook 97, 98, 2000, 2002, 2003 & 2007
from the Office family for Intel PCs. For Outlook Express (OE) & Windows
Live Mail support try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.inetexplorer.ie4.outlookexpress for OE 4.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.mail.mac for the Macintosh version of OE
microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop for Windows Live Mail

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook
97/98/2000/2002/2003/2007 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6), or
an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're
accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...px?dg=microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
Good luck!
