Hi folks,
How can I select accounts to send/receive based on the connected networks?
I know how to configure Send/Receive groups but that is too slow.
Here is the problem. I run outlook 2003 on a laptop. I use my laptop at work
and at home. At work I have an exchange account and at home I have a POP3
account.
At work I can't use my POP3 account and at home I can't use my exchange
account.
I waste a lot of time waiting for each to timeout everytime I hit
Send/Receive.
I would like to selectively Send/Receive the right account according to
which network I'm connected to. It would be great if Outlook can detect which
network I'm connected to. But I'm willing to settle for clicking on a
different button to Send/Receive either account.
I just don't want to go enabling/disabling my Send/Receive groups every day
because that is even slower than waiting for the timeout. Because I keep
forgetting to enable/disable the right account before I hit the Send/Receive
button.
Basically this is what I want to do:-
at work) Send/Receive exchange account. Skip POP3 account
at home) Send/Receive POP3 account. Skip exchange account
It'd be best if I can configure Outlook to detect which network I'm
connected to.
But I wouldn't mind if I have to hit F9 at work and F8(for example) at home.
thanks in advance
