'Send Only' Dialup Problem

I just installed W2K Pro smoothly. Setup my Dial Up
accounts successfully to obtain mail, etc. Something
strange occurs when I connect and begin developing
traffic. After a short period of time in downloading
something ... my 'receiving' slows down and I suddenly
start 'sending' and at some exteremely send-to-receive
ratios. I've cleanly installed a number of times to
clean partitions and it still happens. Is this some kind
of trojan horse? Or something else? It first happened
when downloading software updates form Microsoft. I do
not run a firewall and my 3Com/USR seems to work OK,on
the driver that autoloaded from the W2K library.

There is a virus going around in an e-mail proposing to be
from Microsoft. If you ran that program, you definitely
have a virus. Go to www.nai.com (or other virus software
companies) for help.
