Dialup problem

HI!
I have problem with dialup connections.

Eveything worked ok until I inistalled driver for USB ADSL modem. Then I
suffer BSOD each time I connect via dialup (ADSL and normal dialup
connection). Uninstallig didn't help, restore point tells me that there's
nothing to restore.
After long fight with last known good, manual removal of drivers etc I've
obtained working dialup.
Then I've installed SP2.
And entire problem returned. This time my fights resulted no BSODs (after
some hours of work). But it's only half of success. I can dial and system is
stable, but I cannot exchange data via dialup. Trying to reset TCPIP, trying
to re-create connections... Nothing helps. I have working TCPIP via LAN or
WiFi and there's no problem. When I dialup (doesnt matter via modem, via GSM,
via GPRS) I can connect, I obtain IP address, sniffer shows packets outgoing
and sometimes strange reply (errors) from DNS or another host. Pings goes
out, but nothing returns.
Of course I've disabled all firewalls etc.

Can you help me? What else can I check? What should I do?

Did you disable any thing is services.msc?

If you replaced uxtheme.dll it will cause a bsod

If you still have the xp service pack 2
Extract the file xpsp2.exe -x to a folder
Using the cmd prompt
Cd to that directory
Expand uxtheme.dl_ uxtheme.dll

The only problem is I could not replace that file even in safe mode.
Since I have a dual-boot system and my xp partition is fat32, I was
able to change the files back to the xp by copying from windows 98se .

If ntfs. It a little harder. Copy the uxtheme.dll to a floppy.
Get 2000 pro setup disk (hit try again if you get a error making those
disk) After Making. Insert the disk and start the repair console.
No password needed. Even if you made one

Copy a:\uxtheme.dll c:\windows\system32
Copy a:\uxtheme.dll c:\windows\system32\dllcache

Someone else here may have a simpler method

Use the OS and driver system that works.
