When I send email I get

"error 0x800CCC7D Your outgoing (SMTP) server does not support SSL-secured
connections. If SSL –secured connections have worked in the past, contact
your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)"

I am using Outlook 97 with Vistor. This has previously worked correctly, and
sending mail workes correctly using other email programmes with exactly the
same account settings (requires SMTP authentication is checked in both
Outlook and the other email programmes. My ISP say they have not made any
changes. I want to use Outlook as I need the other features.

Thanks for any help!

Outlook 97 is not capable of authenticating to an outgoing SMTP server. If
you server requires it, Outlook 97 cannot be used. There is no setting to
authenticate to an outgoing server in Outlook 97. Outlook 98 was the first
version of Outlook to support that feature.
