Send File as Attachment

Outlook misbehaves when sending a file as an attachment. Example: In an
open excel file (Office 2007) click the office button, then send, then email.
Choose the recipient, etc and click send.

But the email message doesn't go away so you're not sure it was actually
sent. You have to close the email and then check. Plus, if you want to look
at the original message before sending, forget it because you can't. If you
typed for ten minutes and need to look, you'll have to send the message to
yourself or else it will be lost if you just close it. (In Office 2003, at
least the message went to the top of your inbox.)

Why not have the send file as attachment function work just like any other
email does? You can work with other documents, etc, while the email is
opened.

you can't search acontact while the mail is open.

Yash: If you hit escape, Outlook asks if you want to save the file. When
you do, it goes to the "drafts" folder in outlook. You can open it from there
and it behaves like other emails. It's still needs to be improved though.
