Send BCC email from category of contacts

L

laddgtx

I have a "category group" of contacts that I need to BCC
on an email message.

I "select all" contacts in the "category group" list and
then Actions>New Message to Contact.

The email addresses from the category are automatically
placed in the "To" address field.

I am able to cut/paste the email address from the "To"
field to the "BCC" field. But for some the reason the
email addresses are not "acceptable" to the BCC field in
that they do not automatically acquire the
typical "underlined" characteristic on the same email
address when they are in the "To" field.

As such, Outlook locks-up completely when I try to send
the email message with these "pasted" addresses in
the "BCC" Field.

Please help.

Works fine here. I can't reproduce this problem.
Sounds like one of the addresses may be corrupt.

If you use Alt+K to resolve the names, do they resolve and send?

Ok.

Now a more simple question.

Why are some email addresses underlined in the "TO" field -
and others are not?

Is this some sort of email address LDAP lookup
verification?

Underlined addresses have been "resolved" which means Outlook recognizes
it as an address and is ready to send. Addresses that have not been underlined
yet are not yet resolved - they will be before the message actually leaves
your system, though it may happen too quickly for you to notice.
