Ok I am running XP with Outlook 2002 and here is my dilema!

when creating an email I click send and all it does is sit in the outbox and I
have to click on send and recieve in order for it to go. Also bottom right
corner of the Outlook itself looks like a LAN connection with a red x through
it. Is this tyhe problem? Can someone shed some light?

Thanx all :)

You have set Outlook to work Offline. Go to File and uncheck the Offline
option.
