selective restore of backup

I have just relocated to a summer home where I installed a second copy of
Outlook on a new computer. I use Mobileme to sync between computers and my
iPhone. I have downloaded email from my server at the new location already.
Before I left my winter home, I backed up my pst file. When Mobilme syncs,
it doesn't sync old emails, but these would be in the pst file I backed up.
Is there a way of extracting the old emails from the pst file without
extracting calendar or contacts in Outlook on the new computer, both of which
were put in place with the Mobilme sync? Is it possible to run a second
Outlook window using the pst file which would then contain the old emails,
old calendar, and old contacts?

In Outlook just do File-Open-Outlook data file and open the pst file. It
won't overwrite the existing file - just show as a second set of folders...

Thanks Gordon. I'll give it a try.
