Selecting Test Assertions for PC Card

M

Mike

I will self testing a PC Card that has an embedded wireless modem.
The modem connects via USB bus on the controller.

So I have the following devices wrapped up:
1. Card Bus
2. USB Device
3. Modem
4. Diagnostic Port

Now the Host Controller is WHQL certified already so I
am hoping the Card Bus\Pc Card and USB controller\hub test assertions
are limited and therefore submission is based on Controller's
WHQL Test ID.

Can anyone help?

Sounds very confusing...
What kind of device will the OS (or user) see: a modem, netcard or something else?
What is the interface - USB ort Cardbus?
Try looking on it from the XP machine perspective.

Hi pavel,

How I listed it is how the OS will see it.
It will first see a card bus card which will in turn enumerate
2 OHCI controllers to which a sub-system consisting of a
USB modem is connected.

Sounds like fun right?

Fun indeed...
You can't do testing on the cardbus-usb controller,
because all it is integrated. So... if the user is going to see
it as a modem, try running modem test suite and see what happens.
