selecting record in subform to edit on main form

Hi all
I have sub form that shows all transactions by date. the subform is a
datasheet view. I would like to double click a transaction on the
subform and make that the current record on the main form. The main
form and sub form are based on different queries because I wanted all
transactions to show in the subform I didn't relate the forms through
a master/child relationship. I normally open the form to add new
tranaction(s) but would like to be able to select a record in the
subform to edit as well. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I found the solution. it had to do with the way I had fields named.
