Is there a free utility which will record a sequence of keystrokes
and then replay them when I press a hotkey?

BTW below is what I want to do.
Often I want to mark some files by putting a special character at
the end of the filename (but not at the end of the extension). So
I need to record something like this:
F2 <left> <left> <left> <special char> <enter>
and then replay them when I press a hotkey?
