Just recently I've started getting the following error message whenever
I close down Windows XP ...

DWWIN.EXE - DLL INITIALIZATION FAILURE

THe system does actualy close down after the message, but I'm worried
that something serious may be wrong.

Can anyone advise me on what might be causing it, and whether there's
anything I can do to fix it?

Thanks and regards,

CRS.

Many thanks Juan, but no success. I tried the "disable Dr Watson"
suggestion, but it had no effect. Also, the forum message is from some
poor soul with exactly the same problem, but alas no solutions.

Sigh. Oh well, it's been about a year since my last system rebuild, so
maybe this is the reason I've been waiting for.

Thanks again. Much appreciated. Rgds.

Let us know if you found the solution, before reinstall 8-(. Did you
installed any new drivers just before this problem?.

I did a clean install a few weeks ago and I have started to get this message
when I shut down but not all the time. A system rebuild may not help.
Another program that has problems shutting down on my system is a Java
SataRaid utility. Maybe the two problem are related? If you find out what
is causing this problem let us know.
