The last I heard Windows was an operating system, not a security program,
and you can't do very much without having an operating system installed.
Are you sure you didn't leave out part of the name of the security system
program you're calling Windows, since some have Windows as part of their
names?
Also, note that most Norton security programs are known for causing
assorted problems with Windows Mail, although slowly enough that you
seldom notice at first. A more complete name for the Norton program
should help us give advice on whether it's a good idea to keep that one.
Delete "windows" what? Most if not all of the Windows programs
included with Vista can not be uninstalled, because they are
considered part of the operating system.
Incidentally, Norton antivirus is not fully compatible with
Windows Mail, and it is likely to cause problems for you.
