I updated Windows 98 to Windows 2000 in doing this I was
asked to put in a password. I typed in the password and
finished loading 2000. When trying to get into the
operating system it ask me for the password. When I
entered the password my monitor flickered like it was
entering then went right back to the password request
screen. Is there a way to clear this password or reset it?

Are you sure it's not giving you any errors about the password?
