Security Updates

Please tell me where can I find these updates for my
computer, I was downloading them one day but I got booted
off line and when I check for critical updates these do
not come up at all. Can you tell me what I can do to find
them please.

1a. Were you originally installing all these updates via Windows Update?

1b. Was your anti-virus disabled and were all other running applications
closed before attempting to install them?

2. Copy/paste the following line into an IE Addressbar, click on GO, then
copy/paste the results into your reply:

javascript:navigator.appMinorVersion

3. Are any of these updates listed in Add/Remove Programs under "Windows XP
Hotfix" or "Windows XP Hotfix (SP2)"?

4. Have you posted your query to this Windows Update-specific newsgroup?...
