Security update ms06-066 wants to keep installing

I had installed the update for kb923980 on the 15th thru auto update and it
was fine. Now since the ie7 update it wants to install over and over agian. I
don't know how to fix this. The articles I've read say it could be a corrupt
log fill or somthing but I don't think so I've run my virus software etc with
no warnings. I uninstalled ie7 and it still does it. Reinstalld ie7 and still
same old thing. Can anyone tell me a few thing to try--

I had this happen before with a different update. It is trying to install
over the other update to "repair" itself. remove the update via add/remove
and let it go ahead and install itself again. Sometimes when a program or
update has a currupt file it is programed to try and repair itself. I just
removed the instance with the currupt file and when I installed the new
instance it was fixed. Good luck and have a great day,
