Security Toolbar 7.1

Apparently went to the wrong Web site and clicked the wrong button. I now
have a "Security Toolbar 7.1" with two links just below my menu bar in my
I.E. The links are to A block adware site trying to sell me their software
and a remove spyware site, again promoting and selling their product. The
Spyware site (WinSpyControl.com) did respond to my E-mail and apoligised for
my inconvience, but said that this was being done through a "third party"
broker and they could not help. Their software is not actually on my system
yet, so did not need to remove that, but would like to get rid of this
toolbar. Not a serious issue, but takes up display space.

Hosted on a website that butts filled with filth and porno. No person of
sound mind would download malware fighting tools from a site like that.

Ask him, he's proud of the porno he's created on his site - he even
posts links to it in public groups from time to time - exposing kids to
it.

OK, and thanks, That did seem to get rid of the Toolbar, however now I
cannot access my.iwon.com which I use as my home page. (I get the old "The
page cannot be displayed" message) I know Iwon has spyware/adware issues, but
am comfortable with that. How do I change my settings so I can get it back.

Check your email. I sent instructions on modifying your hosts file.

Following directions from someone hosting PORNO on their website is not
advisable for anyone.

He won't post in public because it exposed what he pirated from other
users/vendors, not to mention that he'll expose that almost everything
he provides as a solution is from another person that he won't give
credit to.

Iwon is adware and is blocked by your now updated HOSTS file. If you want to
be able to access it (which is not recommended) then open your HOSTS file
with notepad, click on edit>find and search for iwon, delete what it finds,
there are about 6-8 entries for it in your hosts file. Save the changes.
Your hosts file is usually located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
