problems with tool bar in internet explorer

Hi,
A commercial company offering protection from spyware seems to have taken
over my explorer tool bar. I cannot access any web addresses in the tool bar
and it just keeps returning to a warning page that my computer has spyware
and that by buying this product it will all be fixed! I can however access
other sires by using my favorites. Norton has been run and finds nothing
wrong. There is also now an additional part of my tool bar which reads
"security toolbar 7.1, block spyware, block pop ups and add ons"
What can I do?
