Security Rights on 2000 AD servers...

Tim

Background...

Upgraded an NT 4.0 domain to 2000 and Active directory.
Now have 2 AD servers and 12 4.0 BDC servers.

When a user on their workstation tries to change security
permissions and a shared resource on one of the AD
servers; as soon as they hit the "ADD" button a message
pops up...

The program cannot open the required dialog box because
no locations can be found. Close this message, and try
again.

The user can go to a share on an NT server and change the
permissions with no problems. Its just on resource on
the two AD servers (Windows 2000 server). Loosing my
mind here. Thanks for any help...

Can you check, that your DNS is configured properly and running. Your
workstations must point their DNS settings to your internal DNS server.
