Security Permissions over a home network

I have a desktop and a laptop connected via an ADSL router. I want to set the
permissions on my laptop so that Administrators on my desktop have full
conrol and access to "C:\Documents and Settings" on the laptop. I do want any
computer or user other than the local administrators on the laptop and the
administrators on the desktop to be able to access "C:\Documents and
Settings". I have tried logging into Administrator in safe mode and have
found the security properties, but it only lets me configure permissions for
local or domain users, not remote users.

I want the "C:\Documents and Settings" folder on my laptop to have the
following permissions:

RYAN-LAPTOP\Administrators - Full Permission
RYAN\Administrators - Full Permission

Is this possible? I rang Microsoft Support and they said to try asking here.

Open My Computer and go to Tools>Folder Options>View Tab. Scroll all the way
to the bottom of that list and uncheck that setting. A reboot may be
necessary.

In a workgroup network, it's only possible to configure permissions
for local users. See:

There is no setting for that. This is Home Edition if that matters.

Ryan,

You can only give permission to the local Administrators account on each
computer, to resources on that computer. If that account is activated for
network access, with identical, non-blank passwords on each, when you connect
from the other computer and use that account, you will have access. You do not
assign permissions to remote accounts, only to local accounts.
