I have a desktop with Windows XP SP2 and use a cable modem for internet
access. I now have a laptop. I purchased a wireless router and set up a
network (I am not technically minded!) with shared files and printer. I can
access the internet, desktop and printer from the laptop, but not the other
way around. It shows the laptop icon in the View Workgroup computers section
of My Network Places on the desktop, but when I click on the laptop icon, I
get the following message
\\Laptop is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if
you have access permissions. The network path was not found
I have checked all the permissions on the laptop and everything is OK. I
have a feeling that I hve set up a Network and a wireless network, hence the
mix-up, but if so, how do I correct this?
