I have two PC's networked together through a router which leads to cable
broadband. All users on all computershave administrator rights and permissions

PC 1 - (dave) desktop - connected to router via cable, xp proffessional,
full access to internet and shared files on PC 2. service pack 2 installed.

PC 2 - (laptop) laptop, wireless connection to router, xp home, full access
to internet, both computer names are displayed in 'my network places' no
access to PC 1.

When clicked on PC 1 (dave) in 'MSHOME' error message appears

'//Dave is not accessible you might not have permission to use this
resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have
access permissions

Access is denied

Windows firewall on both omputers is turned off. Norton Internet Security
installed. Even when all firewalls disabled access is still denied

http://winhlp.com/ should solve this problem. One possible cause
could be a lack of understanding of the different networking
methods of Windows XP Home and Professional.
